RETRIEVERCLAIM.Retriever Claim is the bridge between your problem and a solicitor who'll handle it properly. We find the right firm for your situation, then we stay beside you until it's put right. It costs you nothing.
Renting and worried about repairs that never get done? Start a housing disrepair claim instead.
Somewhere along the way, making a claim turned into an auction. Law firms and claims companies bid for your case, win it, then process it. You stop being a person who's had a hard time, and you become a file with a reference number. One small cog in a very big machine.
Most people never see that this is how it works. And there's a bigger misunderstanding sitting underneath it: the idea that a claims management company is just a middleman taking a slice.
It shouldn't be. Done properly, a claims management company is the most useful part of the whole process. That's the gap Retriever Claim was built to fill.

This is for you if you've rented privately in England or Wales in the last 6 years and paid a deposit. Under the Housing Act 2004, your landlord was legally required to protect it within 30 days.
If they didn't, a court can order them to return the deposit and pay compensation of up to 3x its value. The average UK deposit is around £1,434. It's worth checking. It costs nothing.
Find out if this is youPlus the deposit itself, even if your landlord wants to keep it.
Your landlord is required by law to protect your deposit in a government-backed scheme within 30 days. If they didn’t, a court can order compensation.
You can still claim even if your tenancy ended years ago.
Find out in about 60 seconds. Free, no signup, no obligation.
We check all three government-approved deposit schemes and tell you whether your landlord registered yours within the legal 30-day window.
Retriever Claim is a trading style. Claim Simple LTD is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in respect of regulated claims management activities – FRN:830182. You can pursue your own claim without the help of a CMC.
This is the part people don't believe at first, so here it is plainly.
You don't pay us. Not upfront, not at the end, not at all. We're paid by the solicitor, not by you.
Your solicitor works on a no-win-no-fee basis. If your claim doesn't succeed, you don't pay them either. If it does succeed, their fee comes out of your compensation, and they'll explain exactly what that looks like before you agree to anything.
No upfront fees. No catch. You've nothing to lose by finding out where you stand.
We don't work with everyone. We work with a small panel of SRA-regulated law firms, and every one of them is a genuine solicitor's firm, not another claims company passing your case along again.
Each firm specialises. So when we match you, we're not picking a name off a list. We're sending you to a firm that does your kind of claim, day in, day out.
And because we have a real relationship with these firms, we can do something a stranger can't. We can keep an eye on how you're being treated, and step in if something isn't right.
A claim can take time. That's the honest truth. And the longest, hardest claims are usually the ones where you've been left in the dark.
So we don't leave. From your first question to your final result, Retriever Claim stays in the middle, between you and the solicitor, so there's always someone to talk to.
Need to chase something? Want to add a piece of evidence? Not happy with how a call went? Message us. We're one text away, the whole way through.
We'd rather tell you that than have you feel cornered.
You can approach a solicitor yourself. For a tenancy deposit, you can also use your deposit scheme's free dispute service, or take it to the small claims court on your own. For housing disrepair, you can complain to your landlord and escalate to the Housing Ombudsman. None of that costs anything, and for some people it's the right route.
What Retriever Claim gives you is the part that's hard to do alone. Knowing which firm is genuinely good for your specific situation, and having someone who's been through this before standing beside you while it happens. If that's worth having, we're here. If it isn't, we'll happily point you the right way.
Since October 2025, Awaab's Law means your landlord has strict legal deadlines to act. If they haven't, you may be entitled to compensation, and a formal claim often means the repairs finally get done.
No upfront fees. No obligation. It's worth checking if you qualify.
Find out if this is youYour landlord didn't protect your deposit, or hasn't given it back? You may be owed more than the deposit itself.
Check your depositDamp, mould, broken heating, repairs your landlord keeps ignoring? You may be able to get it fixed and claim for what you've lived with.

“I started Retriever Claim because I think this industry lost the plot. People who've been wronged deserve a guide, not a machine. That's the whole idea.”
